Math Reflections
Every month the students take time to reflect on their learning and goal setting for math.
The reflections incorporate the following:
A. Sample work from the month
B. Schools Attuned Neurodevelomental Constructs exemplified in understanding of a
selected topic or the break down points for understanding, or the quality of work.
C. Demonstrate comprehension of one topic by explaining the key concepts (rules) that
pertain to all like problems, and work out a problem confirming their understanding of the
topic.
D. Exploring self as a math student? If improved, describe the strategies used to improve.
If no improvement analyze the break down points. (This section is to focus on knowledge of
content, preparation for class, critical thinking and social cognition.)
E. Goal setting: State two measurable goals to be accomplish by the end of the next month
and a plan to carry out the goals?
F. Review goals from previous months. How well were they accomplished.
G. A parent response to the month's reflections.
